The meaning of being treated can be caught from watching another person be relieved, so relief, and harm, travel through a group by witness.
Relief is caught as well as given.

Who has made you better just by being seen getting better, and whom have you healed that way without knowing?
Each organ answers one question about the idea. The framed one, its dispersal, is the dominant organ: the being's class, the one the idea could not lose and stay itself.

Run the placebo arm of a pain trial in two arrangements, one where patients wait together and can see each other's relief, and one where each waits alone, and compare the responses. If the shared arm responds more, trials that gather their patients together are measuring witness as well as treatment.4
Who in the room is the dose?

A hospital waiting room where people leaving after treatment can leave a small true trace, an object or a few recorded words, for those who arrive next. It is the shrine's wall of crutches made secular and honest; nothing is faked, since open-label placebos show that relief does not need deception. It answers Placebo's own provocation, a hospital designed for the meaning response.
Can a cure be left behind for the next patient?
practice
Rules for treating people in groups so that harm does not spread by sight. At a school vaccination each child is treated out of view of the queue, and anyone who faints recovers out of sight; warnings about side effects are given one to one, together with how many people have none. WHO guidance already advises much of this for vaccination; the being gives it a reason that holds for any treatment given in a group.9, 8
What harm do we pass on by being seen to suffer?
bridge Both are predictions that help make what they predict; what is expected arrives partly because it is expected.
friction Faith assumes its object is real, though unseen, and is wounded by disproof. Placebo's object is known to be empty by the one who gives it, and in open-label use by both.
tension Can trust in something known to be empty still act, and if it can, what is being trusted?
